Life Beyond Bars is committed to preventing at-risk youth and young adults from entering an already crowded and infested prison system. Our aim is to help those who have a desire to change the trajectory of their lives; providing hope and inspiring them to make choices that will help them thrive.
Providing alternative solutions, LBB will provide services to help foster education, computer literacy, job training, resume writing, interview workshops job placement and college readiness. These programs will help foster independence and reduce the recidivism rate in our communities.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
LBB, relies on the support of concerned professionals who are interested in volunteering their time and talents to uplift and build our clients. Volunteers help clients gain new experiences and insights which influences their growth and development academically and socially. Clients are not the only beneficiary of the experience, our volunteers report learning new skills, gained insight and even bridge the gap between them and the youth.

BECOME A MENTOR
Becoming a mentor is one of the most rewarding, humbling and life-changing experiences one can have. Imparting and exchanging information opens the door to meaningful and impactful relationships. In order to influence and transform another person's thought process, there must be a level of trust and respect. It is a role one should only consider if they are committed, reliable and dedicated to the success of their mentee.
